Vampire Diaries – Episode 3.11 – Our Town – Episode Stills

And once again thanks to TV Overmind, we have another set of episode stills, this time from the January 12th episode 3.11 “Our Town”. Time to celebrate Caroline’s 18th birthday!

Vampire Diaries Spoilers From Zap2It

Here are another set of spoilers from next week’s episode “The New Deal”. This time Zap2It dishes with 5 things we can look forward to.

1. Klaus (Joseph Morgan) has a domestic side. We’re almost nervous to admit it, but our big bad wolf has become one of the most complex characters on television right now. The way that his vulnerability and villainy tangle up together is fascinating to watch. With his father out of the picture, Klaus has big plans to reunite his remaining family members — complete with a dream house in the town where they last loved each other as humans. It’s poetic, really.

Vampire Diaries – Episode 3.12 – The Ties That Bind – Synopsis

Thanks to Zap2It’s Carina Mackenzie (@cadlymack) we have the official synopsis for Episode 3.12 “The Ties That Bind”. We meet Bonnie’s mom!

PERSIA WHITE GUEST STARS AS BONNIE’S MOTHER — Bonnie (Kat Graham) believes her recurring dreams about Klaus’ (Joseph Morgan) coffins will tell her how he can be killed. The dreams also lead Bonnie to a reunion with her mother, Abby (guest star Persia White, “Girlfriends”), whom Bonnie hasn’t seen for 15 years. At Abby’s remote farmhouse, Bonnie and Elena (Nina Dobrev) meet Jamie (guest star Robert Ri’chard, “One on One”), the young man Abby took in years earlier. Bonnie’s sudden appearance catches Abby off-guard, but she does her best to explain the past. Tyler (Michael Trevino) turns to an unexpected ally in his quest to regain his free will. Damon (Ian Somerhalder) is intrigued by Alaric’s (Matt Davis) new friend, Dr. Fell (guest star Torrey Devitto), and Klaus continues his bitter negotiations with Stefan (Paul Wesley) over control of the coffins containing his family members. John Dahl directed the episode written by Brian Young

Vampire Diaries Spoilers Via EW Spoiler Room

EW’s Spoiler Room sheds some light on what we can expect from Stefan when the show returns January 5th…courtesy of Julie Plec.
The first episode will, as Plec puts it, find Stefan with “tunnel vision” in his quest to hit Klaus (Joseph Morgan) “where it hurts” and rid Mystic Falls of hybrids. And by the second episode back, “We get the sense that this guy, who used to be much more concerned with protecting collateral damage, now has no concerns about who might get hurt as he tries to get Klaus to back off,” she says. “[The hybrids] are contributing to the sense of unease that Elena and her friends have about living in this town, and Klaus is relishing everybody’s paranoia, and Stefan is sort of like, ‘No way, get ‘em out. You’re not gonna get ‘em out? I’ll get ‘em out for you.’ So Stefan starts going all Jack Bauer/Chuck Norris on ‘em.”
But Stefan’s “extreme lengths” will cause him to lose fans (cue: brother fight!) — including one person who has thus far been Stefan’s greatest supporter. “His methods are not very much appreciated by Elena,” Plec says. “Our characters themselves are asking this question: Is he good? Is he bad? Is his humanity switched on or off? If on, what the hell is going on? What’s he doing? And the question of how Stefan is channeling all of his emotions into this rage makes him as much of a villain in his own way as he’s been all season.”
I know what you’re thinking: Will all that open the door for more Elena/Damon action? Next Thursday’s new episode will have your answer.

Julie Plec to TV Guide: Elena Allows Romantic Tension With Damon to Come Out and Play

TV Guide has some scoop from executive producer Julie Plec. What’s going on with Stefan, and will Elena continue to deny the romantic tension between she and Damon?
With Stefan off focusing on Klaus, Damon and Elena will continue to lean on each other — although Damon, Plec adds, will be back to “acting out, day-drinking, pouting and being generally curmudgeonly.” But the romantic tension will build and Elena will have a hard time denying it. “Now that Stefan is out of the picture, in her mind there’s a way to free herself up and allow that tension to come out and play,” Plec says. “The question of ‘Does Elena love Damon [and] has she been fully falling for him all along?’ is going to be very much a part of the season.”

Vampire Diaries – Episode 3.11 – Our Town – Synopsis

The CW has released the official synopsis for the January 12th Episode 3.11 titled “Our Town”.

BIRTHDAYS AND GOOD-BYES — Although Caroline (Candice Accola) is in no mood to celebrate her 18th birthday, Elena (Nina Dobrev), Bonnie (Kat Graham) and Matt (Zach Roerig) surprise her with a small party in an unusual location.  Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Stefan (Paul Wesley) disagree on the best way to handle Klaus (Joseph Morgan), and a reckless Stefan decides to test his theory by taking things to dangerous extremes.  Bonnie is concerned when Elena tells her about Jeremy’s (Steven R. McQueen) new plans.  At a Founder’s meeting, Alaric once again runs into Dr. Fell (guest star Torrey Devitto), who is in the middle of an argument with her ex-boyfriend, the medical examiner (guest star David Colin Smith).  Tyler (Michael Trevino) refuses to go along with Klaus’ latest demand, and is surprised when Klaus seems to accept his decision.  Wendey Stanzler directed the episode written by Rebecca Sonnenshine

Vampire Diaries Spoilers Via TV Guide’s Mega Buzz

Julie Plec has been busy dishing out the teasers, huh? TV Guide chatted with her and here’s what she had to say about a major character and something about not coming out of a life or death situation…what???!!
So Rebecca’s coming back on The Vampire Diaries? Please tell me that doesn’t mean Elena is in danger!  — Hayley
ADAM: Well, somebody is in danger. Big danger. (I mean, isn’t someone always on this show?) “There is definitely a major character whose fate is looking bleak,” executive producer Julie Plec tells us. But not, like, Aunt Jenna bleak, right? “[He or she] may not come out the other side of a terrible life-or-death situation,” Plec teases. Eek! Any guesses?

Vampire Diaries Spoilers From TV Line’s Ask Ausiello

Ausiello from TV Line is dishing out some pretty awesome Vampire Diaries scoop via Julie Plec. Check it…
Question: Got any news about Caroline’s storyline on The Vampire Diaries? —Charlotte
Ausiello: She’s turning 18, and for her birthday the show’s writers are giving her the second episode back, airing Jan. 12! “It’s a big [one] for Caroline,” confirms showrunner Julie Plec of the installment. “It’s emotional. It’s scary. It’s very, very, very powerful.” But the episode isn’t all about Candice Accola’s vamp. “It’s a big episode for the friends — for Elena and Matt and Bonnie and Caroline,” Plec adds. “It’s a big episode for Tyler and Caroline’s relationship. It’s a massive episode for Stefan and Elena, and Stefan’s pissing contest with Klaus and the lengths he is willing to go to make his point, not giving a damn about anyone or anything. It’s a big episode for Damon’s continued evolution as villain to hero. It’s just a nice episode all around.”
Question: The wait for new Vampire Diaries episodes is maddening. Please give us some Delena scoop to tide us over? —Gabi
Ausiello: Stefan’s seeming betrayal of Damon and Elena leaves the pair “fraught with sexual and romantic tension and very, very, very angry at Stefan,” reveals Plec. “It leaves them thrown together to defend themselves against whatever Klaus’ next move is going to be. It leads to a fairly interesting showdown between Damon and Stefan in which Damon literally tries to beat the answer out of Stefan as to why Stefan betrayed him and ruined his plan.”
Question: How about you give me the Vampire Diaries scoop I so desperately need? —Elizabeth
Ausiello: We definitely haven’t seen the last of badass Original sister Rebekah, Plec tell us. But don’t expect a happy reunion when someone finally takes that dagger out of her. “She let herself get emotionally duped by Elena, and Elena literally stabbed her in the back,” explains Plec. Rebekah’s anger at Elena will be “a big problem for Klaus, who doesn’t want anything to happen to [Elena], and for Elena herself, who pulled the ultimate mean girl back stab and is going to have to pay the price for that.” Rebekah will also be none too pleased with Klaus for lying to her about their mother’s death. “She’s just mad period,” says Plec with a laugh, “all around.”

Vampre Diaries Spoilers From E!Online Spoiler Chat

Ariannagirlq1: How about some Vampire Diaries scoop! I’m dying for the show to return.
And some of you fans are gonna be dying when you see an epic kissscene that is happening very soon! Confession: I squealed a little when I heard about it. Any guesses who’s puckering up? In other news, a main character we know and love is leaving Mystic Falls, thanks (indirectly) to Damon.

Vampire Diaries Spoilers

Julie Plec, and she dished on what’s to come when the show returns from holiday hiatus January 5th. What will happen with Damon and Elena? Will Tyler and Caroline pull through and where has Bonnie’s mom been? What can we expect from Klaus and will Rebekah be resurrected? Read an excerpt from each article then click through to read the rest!
On Damon and Elena:
“When we come back in Episode 10, Elena and Damon are finding themselves in these moments where the romantic tension is a little bit deeper and the physical tension is a little bit hotter,” Julie teases. (We know what you’re thinking. Hotter? How is that even possible? Trust us… it is.)
Though Stefan is out of the picture, Damon and Elena continue to spend time together. “They have to work together against Klaus, so they keep finding themselves in these moments that they’re now both free to act on, without guilt.”
 On Tyler and Caroline:
“Tyler and Caroline have a lot to overcome,” Julie says. “Because Tyler, on his own, has a lot to overcome. It’s pretty bleak, right now, and it’s only going to start to get bleaker before it gets better. ”
As far as Caroline is concerned, she doesn’t know that she can love someone who is controlled by someone she hates so vehemently. ” I loved what Tyler said to Caroline at the end of the last episode, which was ‘I can’t hate this, because it’s better. Because I don’t have to go through that pain. Because in a way, I feel free, so fight for me, and fight for us,’” Julie reminds us. “She doesn’t know if she can, so when we come back, he’s not happy with her. He’s not happy with anything.”
 On Bonnie and her mom:
“I can’t give away too much in terms of the catalyst that brings them together and in terms of the mythology,” Julie says. “But I’ll say that emotionally, Bonnie needs a touchstone that is disconnected from this vampire life. She finds that in the mother who, as we’ll learn, abandoned her a long, long time ago — and abandoned being a witch, too. There’s some great conflict there, and we’re just scratching the surface right now, but I’m very excited to dig into it.”
 On Klaus and Rebekah:
Julie assures us that Klaus won’t be softening up any time soon — he’s really, really evil, you guys, and as we get to know him better in his moments of vulnerability, his villainous nature is going to get increasingly worse. When Stefan (Paul Wesley) stole the coffins containing Klaus’s family, he struck a dangerous nerve, and we’re going to see the fall-out from that impact everyone in Stefan’s (former) life. “It’s definitely the driving engine when we come back for a good chunk of our winter episodes,” Julie says.
On-screen, it’s no more Miss Nice Girl for a while. Rebekah will wake up soon (we can’t tell you who pulls the dagger out, though!) and she is not a morning person. She shared some powerful secrets with Elena (Nina Dobrev) in the first half of the season, only to have Elena literally stab her in the back (only on this show!). And now she’s pissed.
“She ain’t gonna be happy,” says Julie. “She doesn’t like to be duped, she doesn’t like to be betrayed, and she certainly doesn’t let anyone get the one-up on her, which is what Elena did.”

Vampire Diaries – Episode 3.10 – The New Deal – Synopsis

The CW has released the synopsis for Episode 3.10 “The New Deal”. The show returns January 5th from holiday hiatus. So ready!

A REASON TO FEEL GUILTY — Stefan (Paul Wesley) has hidden the coffins containing the bodies of Klaus’ (Joseph Morgan) family, and Klaus quickly turns to violence to convince Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Elena (Nina Dobrev) that no one will be safe until he finds Stefan and gets his family back.  Tyler (Michael Trevino) continues to make the most of his new abilities as a hybrid, but he has to face the disturbing consequences of his actions as well.  After a terrifying incident, Elena and Alaric (Matt Davis) grow increasingly concerned about Jeremy’s (Steven R. McQueen) attitude and, ultimately, his safety.  Alaric meets the beautiful Dr. Fell (guest star Torrey Devitto, “Pretty Little Liars”), who is intrigued with his amazing ability to heal.  While trying to strike a deal with Klaus, Elena delivers news that truly shocks him.  Kat Graham also stars and internet personality Justine Ezarik guest stars as a bartender.  John Behring directed the episode written by Michael Narducci

TV Guide First Look: Torrey DeVitto on The Vampire Diaries + Wetpaint Interview

TV Guide has offered up the first episode still from “The New Deal” which airs January 5th, when the show returns from holiday hiatus. In the photo, you see Torrey DeVitto for the first time and Matt Davis. Details on her role:
DeVitto plays Dr. Fell, who is “intrigued by Alaric [Matt Davis] because he recuperated miraculously from what seemed like a fatal injury, and that sparks an attraction between them.” Can we expect liplocks? “Quite possibly,” she says.

Also, Wetpaint caught up with Torrey and she talked about her role and offered up some scoop.
Wetpaint Entertainment: You’ve already filmed four episodes. Is Mary still alive and well in Mystic Falls?
Torrey DeVitto: Yes. I haven’t gotten an official end date yet. That seems to be the guest star and recurring role path, right? It’s like, you know you have a death date when you join the show.
What’s your character like?
She’s a doctor and she meets Alaric and is intrigued about how he has survived an accident and is medically intrigued by him. Through that they develop a connection and a relationship. And so she’s intrigued by him in more than one way.

Vampire Diaries Spoilers – TV Line & EW Scoop on Stefan and Caroline

Check out the latest spoilers courtesy of executive producer, Julie Plec via TV Line and EW. What’s coming up when The Vampire Diaries returns from holiday hiatus January 5th? What’s Stefan been up to? And what’s going on with Caroline? TV Line and EW have the scoop!
Via TV Line on Stefan and Caroline:
The Vampire Diaries | Let’s start by dipping into the mailbag and helping fans of this CW drama cope a bit with the holiday hiatus. Amy asks, “Can you give me any TVD scoop? Specifically, Caroline and/or Stefan scoop?” Amy, here is exec producer Julie Plec’s holiday gift to you: “When the show returns [on Jan. 5], Stefan has been MIA since he stole Klaus’s family coffins, but we’ll learn he’s been busy trying to figure out a way to stay one step ahead of Klaus. When Elena and Damon finally have the opportunity to confront him about his recent actions, his response makes Damon think twice about acting on his feelings for Elena.” Caroline, meanwhile, doesn’t resurface until Jan. 12, when, Plec says, “she and Tyler come to terms with their recent breakup and what Tyler’s sire bond means for their future. Oh, and it’s her 18th birthday!”
Via EW on Caroline:
Can you give me any scoop about Caroline on The Vampire Diaries? — Amy
Boy can I. It looks like Elena isn’t the only person who’ll be celebrating a birthday on-screen this year. Executive producer extraordinaire Julie Plec recently dished to EW about the second half of the season, which will find Caroline celebrating her 18th birthday — but there’s one small issue. She’s technically not aging anymore, leaving Caroline experiencing a bit of a “teenage life crisis.” “She says ‘I couldn’t wait to be 18. Seventeen is a filler year. I’m stuck in a filler year for the rest of eternity,’” says Plec. “She’s just starting to question what her life is gonna be as a vampire and kinda mourning the loss of her relationship with Tyler and feeling kind of unsettled and a little sad. And for Caroline to be sad, especially when there’s a party to be had, makes Elena and Matt and Bonnie realize they need to do something nice for her to kind of get her out of her funk, and they give her a very unconventional, untraditional birthday.” Fun, right? Erm… maybe not. “As things tend to happen in our show, things go terribly, terribly wrong,” Plec adds with a laugh.
