More Vampire Diaries Scoop from Julie Plec via TV Line

SPOILERS AHEAD…
Following the airing of the last episode of The Vampire Diaries “O, Come All Ye Faithful”, TV Line had a chance to chat with Julie Plec about the loss of Tyler’s mom, Damon and Elena’s struggles, the future of Caroline and Klaus and what’s coming up in the next episode when the show returns from hiatus January 17th, 2013.
TVLINE | The next episode is kind of Breakfast Club-y. Who’s trapped together, and what emotions does it bring out?
It has a lot to do with what Rebekah’s up to. She’s been gone for quite some time. She’s missed a lot. So [in] her efforts to try to get information out of everybody…she gets caught up on the goings-on in Mystic Falls in her absence, including that Stefan and Elena are broken up, that Elena slept with Damon, that there’s a sire bond at play, that the cure hasn’t been found yet – all kinds of great things which she gets out of them in the form of a pretty malicious detention at school.

Vampire Diaries – Episode 4.10 – After School Special – Synopsis

The CW has released the synopsis for episode 4.10 “After School Special”. The episode will air January 17th. Hopefully we’ll have some episode stills soon!

REBEKAH IS BACK WITH A VENGEANCE — Appearing unexpectedly at Mystic Falls High, Rebekah (Claire Holt) wastes no time trying to force Stefan (Paul Wesley), Elena (Nina Dobrev) and Caroline (Candice Accola) to answer her questions about the search for a cure, leading to a bombshell piece of information from Elena.  When Bonnie’s (Kat Graham) father, Rudy Owens (guest star Rick Worthy, “Supernatural”), accepts the role of Interim Mayor, he makes it a priority to protect his daughter, who isn’t at all comfortable with the role he suddenly wants to play in her life.  Professor Shane (guest star David Alpay) continues to encourage Bonnie to believe in her powers, but he soon finds himself in danger when he reveals too much to the wrong person.  Later, Caroline does her best to comfort Tyler (Michael Trevino) after a violent confrontation.  Meanwhile, at the lake house, Damon and Matt (Zach Roerig) train Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen), trying to raise his game as a hunter, but Klaus (Joseph Morgan) is impatient with their progress and intervenes to speed up the process.  David Von Ancken directed the episode written by Brett Matthews (#410).

Are Jeremy and Bonnie getting back together on The Vampire Diaries—Micah
NATALIE: You weren’t the only one who noticed those stolen glances during the midseason finale! “What this episode did, in the form of nostalgia, is a reminder that there are some unresolved feelings there,” executive producer Julie Plec says. “There was love there and maybe just a glimpse of hope for something more.”
Question: Time for a weekday update, Seriously?! Edition (insert Seth Meyers and Amy Pohler voices). Seriously Aus, where’s the love for The Vampire Diaries? —Sydney
Ausiello: Have you looked in your local roller disco? Because that may be where the show is headed. Though exec producer Julie Plec hastens to note that nothing is set in stone, she does admit, “We’re just now writing a script which, in a perfect world, will take us back to the ’70s in New York City. Everything could change, but it’s an era we haven’t explored yet. It could be a lot of fun.” Especially since she adds that “it’ll definitely involve our brothers in some form or another.” Cue the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack in 3, 2, 1…
Question: I am enjoying this season of The Vampire Diaries, but the one thing it needs is Katherine back! Any chance that’s happening anytime soon? —Ali
Ausiello: “That elusive vixen is still somehow lurking in the shadows,” teases Plec, “but keeping herself well hidden… Given Klaus’ continued presence in Mystic Falls, we shall see if we’ll be able to get her back into town.” Scram, Klaus!
Jessica: Any scoop on Klaus on The Vampire Diaries?!
Prepare for an epic showdown between Klaus and…Shane! You really didn’t think those two would never come face to face, did you? Especially after Klaus learns that Shane was the mastermind behind the plan to kill 12 hybrids? Yeah, he’s pretty mad. Watch out, Shane!

Julie Plec Sheds Some Light on the Sire Bond Issue via E!Online

E!Online chatted with Julie Plec recently, and here she sheds some light on this whole sire bond issue. Check it out!
Does Elena really love Damon? Or is it all that blasted sire stuff?Damon and Elena are both going to be asking themselves these questions. Damon, used to rejection, is probably going to question it even more than Elena, who has a very strong opinion about how she feels.
When does Elena find out?
Next week.

Is there any real hope for Damon and Elena as a legit couple?
The sire bond issue will force them each to dig deep into their feelings towards each other as they try to define and defend them. This could either make them stronger than ever or tear them apart.

Vampire Diaries Casting: Two New Faces Coming to Mystic Falls!

Thanks to TV Guide for the heads up! Twilight’s Charlie Bewley is coming to Mystic Falls! Camille Guaty of Prison Break has also been cast. They have been cast in recurring roles as Vaughn and Caitlin. TV Guide has the info, check it out!
Camille Guaty and Charlie Bewley will guest-star in at least two episodes of The Vampire Diaries, TVGuide.com has learned.
Guaty, whose credits include Prison Break andLas Vegas, will play Caitlin, a woman from Professor Shane’s (David Alpay) past. Shane has been helping Bonnie (Kat Graham) to relearn her magic, but he might be bad news, considering it was he who sent vampire hunter Connor (Todd Williams) to Mystic Falls.
Meanwhile, Bewley, who portrayed vampire Demetri in the Twilight films, will play Vaughn. Details about his role — other than he’s tough and rugged — are being kept under wraps, but considering Klaus (Joseph Morgan) & Co. are in search of the vampire hunters, we’re guessing (and hoping!) he’ll be one of The Five they’ve been seeking.
Both actors will first appear in Episode 13, with the potential to return for more. Do you think the new additions are good or bad news?

The CW has released the synopsis for December 6th episode 4.08 that we now know is titled “We’ll Always Have Bourbon Street”.

A FLASHBACK TO NEW ORLEANS IN 1942 — When Stefan ({Paul Wesley) confronts Damon (Ian Somerhalder) with a suspicion about Elena (Nina Dobrev), Damon has no choice but to help Stefan investigate.  Searching for answers, Damon and Stefan visit modern day New Orleans to see if they can find anyone who remembers the events of their last visit in 1942, including one of Damon’s former flames, Charlotte (guest star Madeline Zima).  Elena, Caroline (Candice Accola) and Bonnie (Kat Graham) share a girls’ night while the Salvatore brothers are out of town, and emotions run high when Elena delivers some shocking news.  At Hayley’s (guest star Phoebe Tonkin) urging, Tyler (Michael Trevino) confronts one of Klaus’ hybrids, Kimberly (guest star Alyssa Diaz), and the situation quickly escalates into violence.  Finally, Damon is faced with a heartbreaking decision.  Jesse Warn directed the episode written by Charlie Charbonneau & Jose Molina (#408).

Vampire Diaries FIRST LOOK: Damon Salvatore in Uniform!

Check out this Exclusive First Look from EW. Damon Salvatore is sporting a 1940′s World War II Uniform. This still is from the December 6th Episode 4.08 (still no title has been released). Vampire Diaries Spoilers – New Casting & Squeeworthy Triangle Scoop

We’ve got some Vampire Diaries spoilery goodness coming your way! TV Line, EW, Zap2It & TV Guide have hooked us up with some doozies! Check it out!
New casting and Caroline scoop via TV Line:
Question: Anything on Vampire Diaries? —Kelley
Ausiello: How about some exclusive casting scoop? Madeline Zima of Heroes and Californication fame will guest-star in Episode 8 as Charlotte, a character rumored to share a romantic past with — wait for it — Damon!
Question: I would love some scoop on Caroline! She’s my favorite character on The Vampire Diaries! —Amy
Ausiello: Hayley will continue to be the bane of her existence. “She is definitely throwing a wrench in Caroline’s perfect world and her perfect relationship with Tyler at the moment,” Candice Accola tells TVLine. “If anything, we’ve learned at this point within the series that Carline is a very resilient, strong character, so I don’t think she’s going to put up with it too easily.” In the meantime, she’s going to be “interacting a lot more” with a certain Original. “She’s getting to see different sides of him,” the actress hints, “but she doesn’t really know how she feels about it.”
EW promises that the Vampire Diaries fandom will be rocked:
I loved that Vampire Diaries finally let Elena be a badass last week. Please tell me there’s more of that on the way! — Amy V.
I don’t think Elena is the vamp whose actions you’ll be talking about after this week’s episode. And let me tell you, what he or she does is going to ROCK. THIS. FANDOM.
Zap2It has info on two new characters – one of The Five hunters & someone from Professor Shane’s past:
“The Vampire Diaries”: You may have heard that the show is about to introduce Vaughn, a “ruggedly handsome, charming, built, and tough as hell” guy in his late 20s with a super-sexy accent. He’s one of The Five hunters, and he’s very comfortable with his place at the top of the supernatural food chain. He knows a lot about Damon and uses it to get the upper hand. What he doesn’t quite understand, though, is how strongly Damon feels about Elena. In the same episode (413), we’ll meet Caitlin, another recurring character. She’s a woman with a profound and surprising impact on Professor Shane, and she’ll help shed some light on his motivations.
And finally TV Guide has some exciting triangle scoop!
Vampire Diaries‘ Miss Mystic Falls pageant is coming up! Any scoop? — Hailee
NATALIE: Remember this dance scene from Season 1? Get ready to relive it. “[The episode] gets us back to a little bit of romance and good Mystic Falls events at their finest and it evokes a memory of Season 1, very deliberately, of what was going on in the triangle back then,” executive producer Julie Plec says. We hear you should take that scene and multiply it by 1,000 and that’s the type of moment certain fans will get by the end of the hour.
