Vampire Diaries – Episode 3.16 – 1912 – Synopsis

The CW has released the episode synopsis for the March 15th episode titled “1912″. We have photos coming, so stay tuned!
THE MURDER MYSTERY DEEPENS — The present-day murders in Mystic Falls remind Damon (Ian Somerhalder) of a similar crime spree a century earlier. In flashbacks to 1912, Damon recalls a beautiful vampire, Sage (guest star Cassidy Freeman), who showed him a whole new way to exist. Sheriff Forbes (Marguerite MacIntyre) warns Damon not to get involved in her investigation, but Damon is convinced she’s going after the wrong suspect. Elena (Nina Dobrev) and Matt (Zach Roerig) resort to breaking and entering in their search for evidence to prove Dr. Fell (guest star Torrey Devitto) is a murderer. For reasons known only to her, Rebekah (guest star Claire Holt), becomes interested in locating one of the town’s oldest landmarks. Finally, Elena comes to a new understanding of the path her life has taken, and Damon makes an emotional confession to Stefan (Paul Wesley). John Behring directed the episode written by Julie Plec & Elisabeth R. Finch

Vampire Diaries Spoilers – Latest From E!Online Spoiler Chat

Here’s the latest from E!Online‘s Daily Spoiler Chat. Delena fans…there may be hope after all.
DK in New York: The writers for TVD are so cruel! I’m beginning to feel that the whole Elena and Damon kiss was the start and end of their relationship. Any scoop on most people’s favorite couple?
Fear not, Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Elena (Nina Dobrev) fans! Though Damon and Elena may seem further apart than ever, sources tell us their estrangement is not permanent and that their complicated dynamic “will be heating up again” this season. We’ll pause while you “Delena” fans rejoice and “Stelena” (Stefan and Elena) fans go through the five stages. It gets better, guys.

Zach Roerig Interview with TV.Com

Here’s a great interview with Zach Roerig from TV.com. Zach talks about those “emotional” scenes, Vampire Diaries vs Friday Night Lights filming, and whether or not Matt ever sleeps at The Mystic Grill.

He hasn’t typically had the same amount of screen time as some of the other characters, but a lot of his scenes this season have been really emotional. Is that something that kind of comes easy for you? Can you just turn it on?
I’ve worked with girls who can literally just look away from you and then turn back around crying, and I was like, “Holy…” How do they do it? I mean it’s not like that for me, but you know, working on a television show in its third season, whether I’m working all the time on screen with these actors or not, we’ve all become very rooted here in Atlanta together and we’re all pretty close at the end of the day. So when you’re that connected with a person in a scene and staying in the moment, I think it just makes it much easier to get to those emotional levels.

TV Line: Daniel Gillies Says “Elena Has Hell to Pay”

TV Line had a chat with Daniel Gillies about Elijah, and what the Originals are facing in tonight’s episode. Here he talks about the Original siblings joining forces.
“I’m really eager to look at that kind of unity between them, because it’s exciting for me when I watch the Originals working together,” he adds. “They look like a new television show.” (Yes, he’s aware of the fans’ pleas for an Originals spin-off and says he’ll do “whatever they tell me. I’d love to be a part of something new like that.”)
On Elena’s betrayal:
As for Elijah and Elena’s blossoming friendship, “there’s going to be some hell to pay there,” teases Gillies. After all, she handed over her blood for the spell, which “led him to the gallows in a sense. She really didn’t hesitate to betray him.”

Vampire Diaries Spoilers Roundup

Here is a roundup of some of the recent spoilers posted by TV Line, TV Guide and E!Online. Will Jeremy be back? What about Damon and Elena? And will we learn more about Alaric’s past?? Your burning questions answered!
Question: When will see Jeremy again on The Vampire Diaries? This inquiring mind would like to know. —Nic
Ausiello: “We will see Jeremy before the season’s over,” replies exec producer Julie Plec. “That’s about all I can say on that.” And in case anyone is looking for an updated ETA on Katherine, Plec says, “Homegirl is MIA. She’s smarter than to get herself caught up in all of this mess.” Yes, Julie Plec just referred to Elena’s ancient vampire doppelganger as a Homegirl. And yes, I love her for that.
When is Alaric going to do something other than drink and flirt with Meredith on The Vampire Diaries— Sam
NATALIE: To be fair, Alaric has lost both his wife and girlfriend to the blood-suckers, so we’ll give him a pass on the nascent alcoholism. But we’ll soon learn more about his vampire-hunting days, which may help us to figure out why Elena trusts him so blindly. “A lot more of his past will be revealed,” Matt Davis says. “Things that he’s been struggling with will be purged and come into clarity for him.”
Paigerzzz22: Is there any word on Jeremy yet for TVD? I already miss him!!
Fret not, we have not seen the last of Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen)! “We will see Jeremy before the season’s over,” executive producer Julie Plec teases. “That’s about all I can say on that.” We’ll take it!
Kitademare: TVD?
What? Our scoop-filled post following last night’s epic episode was not enough for you?! Alright, here are two more teases. You’re welcome in advance.
1. Expect to see a lot more of Meredith (Torrey DeVitto). “It’s possible,” Plec says of bringing DeVitto on full-time. “We’re still talking about it.” And yes, we will be seeing that psycho side of Dr. Fell that her now dead ex-boyfriend warned Alaric (Matt Davis) about. Nobody does psycho like Nanny Carrie, y’all!
2. When Tyler (Michael Trevino) returns (he will in the Spring!), it won’t be as a Klaroline fan. Duh. “There’s nothing worse than going away, putting yourself through endless and eternal agony to break a bond to some guy when you come back to town you realize he’s been putting the moves on your girl,” Plec says.
MandyLee: How about something juicy on The Vampire Diaries?!
How about the fact that people are totes gonna die? This is the scoop executive producer Julie Plec drops our way: “There’s definitely going to be some jeopardy by season’s end. Certainly, many of our characters are going to come face-to-face with their maker at some point before the season is over. The question of whether they meet and shake the hand and get dragged away with their maker is a whole other question.” So it sounds like some deaths might not stick? And others will?
Keeleylou25: When are we gonna be getting some good Delena scenes? Is Elena going to realize her feelings for Damon on TVD?
We strongly advise you to not hold your breath while waiting for an epic romantic scene between Damon and Elena (Nina Dobrev). “She hates him,” Somerhalder tells us of the fan-favorite couple. “He’s a d–k.” As for the repercussions of his seriously hot hookup with Original sis Rebekah (Claire Holt)? The return of old Damon! “I think Damon is just starting to get his mojo back a little bit,” Somerhalder teases. “He’s been pining after Katherine for the past 150 years and he’s been pining for Elena for quite a while now. I think it’s just time that he stop pining.”

Vampire Diaries – Episode 3.15 – All My Children – Cast Preview with Ian and Nina

This was a nice twist! This time we are getting a “cast preview” rather than a “producer’s preview” for tomorrow’s episode “All My Children”. Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev talk about what the Originals are up to and MORE clips, so SPOILER ALERT!

Vampire Diaries First Look: Cassidy Freeman & Ian Somerhalder in Episode 3.16 “1912″

Thanks to TV Guide, we have our first look from upcoming episode 3.16 titled “1912″. They spoke with Cassidy Freeman about her character Sage. Also, we are informed that this episode will air 3 weeks after next week’s episode “All My Children” on March 15th.
In the March 15 Vampire Diaries episode — a flashback to 1912 — Freeman plays Sage, a bloodsucker with ties to the Originals, as well asIan Somerhalder‘s Damon. “She [is] really aware of what being a vampire is and owns it,” says Freeman, who says it “has been a dream to play a vampire” and that she was “jumping for joy” when she got the part. Sage will also resurface in modern-day Mystic Falls with a murky agenda. “She comes back for good reasons, but she is [out] for herself.”

E!Online Reveals 5 Things To Expect From Tonight’s Episode “Dangerous Liaisons”

*Spoiler Alert* E!Online drops 5 teasers from tonight’s episode “Dangerous Liaisons”. Here are a couple below and head on over to E!Online to watch another video from the set of The Vampire Diaries and check out the rest of the teasers!

1. Elena shares some very intense moments with both Salvatore brothers, including a scene where one of the brothers drops three very important words. Fans of both couples should prepare for some major angst, including Elena hurting Damon and possibly causing the return of the old Damon. We won’t lie, we kind of missed him!
2. We don’t know about you, but we’ve been secretly rooting for an Elena and Elijah hook up since the first scene these two shared, so their moments in tonight’s episode made us especially happy. Rebekah, who is definitely not Elena’s biggest fan at the moment, drops a hint about Elijah having feelings for Elena and the two share several meaningful scenes at the ball. (Psst! We’re chatting with Daniel Gillies/Elijah tomorrow so send questions for him our way, won’t you?!)

Zach Roerig Chats with Hollywood Life, THR, Alloy, TV Fanatic & Huffington Post

Well it’s about time! Zach Roerig has been making the rounds chatting it up with Hollywood Life, The Hollywood Reporter, Alloy’s Official Vampire Diaries site, TV Fanatic and Huffington Post. Check out excerpts from his interviews where he talks about his relationship with Elena, Humble Pie, Matt’s dancing skills, “Special Teams” and being the “fourth girlfriend”….can we handle all of this? Sure we can! Please click each link to read each interview!
Matt’s drama is very much tied into everyone else’s. Will we see him get his own problems anytime soon?
“I think the only original drama you’ll see from Matt stems from his relationship with Elena — from when they were to kids to what they’ve matured into, and how they got there. If you remember, at the beginning of the series, you see Matt and Elena in the hallway, and you can tell they weren’t friends anymore. He’s probably got a chip on his shoulder from that, and he’s just starting to fully understand what’s happening.”
THR: Earlier this season, Matt risked his life to see his sister Vicki again. What’s the likelihood of a similar situation like that popping up?
Roerig: I don’t see Matt killing himself any time soon. I think he learned his lesson from that one. I see Matt acting daring or rash; he doesn’t have a superpower or anything to act on but he still is that hero at heart. He just doesn’t have the ammunition the other guys [have]. I think he would still put his life in danger for those he loves.
THR: Will he get more power in coming weeks?
Roerig: No, I don’t think so. I’m not searching for that and I don’t think the writers are either. Matt is a nice piece of humble pie for Mystic Falls and that’s the important reason for him staying behind. I don’t think he can leave Elena for too long. She, in some aspects, really does need Matt in her life.
On shooting “Dangerous Liaisons”:
TVD: Everyone looks amazing! What was it like shooting such a fancy episode –was there a different vibe on set?
Zach: Oh yea definitely! We were all carrying ourselves a bit differently – very, not stiff, but we all had a very good posture about us, everything seemed to flow. When we were walking it’s sort of a like [starts singing] “bada pom pom / bada pom pom.” [Laughs] We all took ballroom dancing lessons before we shot the episode so that was a blast. And, yea, there’s something about being in a fitted tux – it just kind of grabs you and transforms you.
Via TV Fanatic:
Matt is all about making smart moves these days. He seems, in many ways, to be the only voice of reason in town, making the keen observation last Thursday that no one will ever be safe in Mystic Falls. Roerig compares Matt’s understanding of where he fits in to positions on a football team.
“He’s not the quarterback of this team,” the actor says. “But he’s a key member of the special teams and he’ll be wherever his friends need him to be.”
In last week’s episode, Klaus teased Damon and Stefan with the idea that if they wanted Elena to have a happy life, they should let her be with Matt. Is this going to cause any friction between him and the Salvatore brothers?
I wouldn’t say that the Salvatore brothers will be looking over Matt at this point, but I think that it’s well-known between Bonnie, Caroline and Elena that Matt is a very important part of their lives. They really need him to be there, and so I wouldn’t expect Damon and Stefan to give him too much grief, or else they’ll have three very upset women to deal with. [Laughs.] The vampire-witch-doppleganger combo can be deadly.
Do you feel like you’re sort of like the fourth girlfriend in that group?
I am kind of like the fourth girlfriend! I don’t really mind it though. It’s like Matt just sits there and he’s like, “Yeah, I used to date you, but I lost you to my werewolf friend. I used to date you, but then I lost you to a pair of vampire brothers” [Laughs.] So I’m not quite sure what good it is for Matt’s morale, but you’ve got to have friends.

Candice Accola Chats With TV Line: On Klaus, and Caroline Getting A Backbone

TV Line spoke with Candice Accola recently, and she talks about Caroline’s feelings for Klaus and Tyler’s whereabouts.
TVLINE | One of the concerns about a potential Klaus/Caroline relationship is, what would it say about Caroline, considering he’s threatened her friends and family? Is that something she’s struggling with?
Caroline is definitely not viewing Klaus as the nice guy. She’s not like, “Ooh! He’s got an edge!” She knows he’s an extreme, evil killer. But at the same time, Caroline recognizes and learns from even just being around Katherine that… you can’t back down. You can’t show fear. You can’t allow yourself to be backed into a corner. You have to stand up and be strong. She’s been watching characters like Katherine or Damon or Stefan and seeing how they really do have a backbone. You have to fake it even if you are scared. That’s what we’re going to see in Caroline as well.
TVLINE | Where’s Tyler? We haven’t seen him for a couple of episodes.
He has gone to work on himself [and] to learn how he can not fall prey to [having been] sired so he can take control back over his life. It’s because of Klaus that Tyler even bit Caroline to begin with. In order to fight for her and fight for himself, he’s taking the time to learn how to not be controlled by Klaus.
