TV Guide Answers The Vampire Diaries Finale Burning Questions [SPOILER ALERT]

TV Guide mentions The Vampire Diaries in their Finale Burning Questions post. Here’s what Julie Plec had to say about Elena becoming a vampire.

The Vampire DiariesElena is a vampire? Really?!
Yep, Vampire Diaries‘ teen heroine will be growing some fangs come Season 4. “It will be a very emotional, very complicated first episode when the show returns, but Elena’s future is pretty set,” says executive producer Julie Plec. What’s not a done deal is just which brother she’ll end up with. “That’s the best question of all!” says Plec, adding that though Elena (Nina Dobrev) chose Stefan (Paul Wesley) in the season finale, “everything has changed. Not necessarily how she feels about the boys, but who she is. This may bring her closer than ever to Stefan, or it may give her a deeper bond with Damon [Ian Somerhalder]. Plus, she’ll start learning things, like how Damon compelled her to forget their first meeting. Those memories will come back, and it’ll add more fuel to the fire.” —Ileane Rudolph

Vampire Diaries Spoilers Roundup with E!Online, TV Line and TV Guide

Here’s a roundup of the latest spoilers from E!Online, TV Line and TV Guide. 2 more days until The Vampire Diaries Season 3 finale. Are you guys ready for this??? If you don’t won’t to be spoiled then I suggest you click that little x in the corner…and what’s going on in this episode still from the finale? I have some ideas…what are yours? Can’t wait!
Via E!Online:
Thomas: SO excited that Elijah is returning in the Vampire Diaries finale! Any hints on what he’ll be up to? Maybe facing off against Alaric?
Funny you should ask, because we served up that exact question to Daniel Gillies when we chatted with him about a cause close to his heart. “I can’t say,” he says of a possible Elijah-Alaric face-off. “But at this stage, if you were Elijah, wouldn’t you just want to get the hell out of a place causing so many problems? Elijah really has a thing for Elena if he’s sticking around.” Maybe Elena’s choice is…Elijah?! We ship it.
Via TV Line:
Question: Curious if you have any spoilers on who Elena chooses in Thursday’s Vampire Diariesseason finale? —Bridii
Ausiello: The only spoiler you’re getting out of me is that she does make a choice. [Beat] I lied. I have one more spoiler for you: The scene/moment/twist you’ll be talking about Friday morning involves a flashback.
Via TV Guide:
I can’t believe The Vampire Diaries finale is Thursday! What will we learn from the flashback to Elena’s parents’ accident? — Rachel
NATALIE: For one thing, it wasn’t part of some bigger conspiracy. “That was an accident. Period. End of story. No supernatural influence,” executive producer Julie Plec says. But on the season finale, Elena and Matt’s impending accident will seem oddly reminiscent of the Gilbert family crash — including who saves them.

More Vampire Diaries Spoilers Via E!Online and TV Guide

More spoilery goodness is coming in. First, E!Online adds more scoop from Julie Plec about the anticipated flashback of the Wickery Bridge accident in the season finale!

“The Departed” will flash back to the night Elena’s parents drove off the Wickery Bridge—and executive producer Julie Plec assures us that no supernatural elements factored into their death. “This episode isn’t about peeling back a layer of the mythology onion. We actually will get a little flash of something else that happened during that time, that we never even really considered, and it’s more of an emotional thing than it is a suspense thing,” she says. On the love triangle side of things, Ian Somerhalder reveals to us that the “losing” brother agrees to leave Mystic Falls after Elena makes her choice.

And TV Guide‘s Mega Buzz has some interesting Boonie scoop!

What’s going to happen to Bonnie on The Vampire Diaries— Sally
NATALIE: Sure, she was bitten by Alaric, but that doesn’t mean she’s going to go the way her mother did — in fact, Damon will see to that by saving her life. However, their Alaric issues are much more pressing since he’s immortal now. Can the spell be reversed? Yes, but Bonnie doesn’t know how to do that particular “kill your ex-history teacher who’s now a vampire-hunting vampire” spell… yet. We’re guessing that her witch-turned-vampire mother might be able to help her though.

Vampire Diaries Spoilers Via TV Line

TV Line‘s Ausiello has some Vampire Diaries Spoilers for us! Some finale scoop and will Katherine return?

Question: Please, give me something about the Vampire Diaries season finale. I hope we will see new villain there. —Jake
Ausiello: New blood is headed to Mystic Falls, but it probably won’t arrive until the fall. “We definitely have some exciting new characters that we’re talking about for next year,” previews exec producer Julie Plec. “And, of course, we’ve got our already enormous ensemble to make sure we keep servicing properly.” Speaking of the VD finale, did you see these?!
Question: Any chance Katherine will resurface before the finale of Vampire Diaries? —Allie
Ausiello: Not unless a certain someone is taken out first. “You will not see nor hear of Katherine until Klaus is gone for good,” says Plec. “His survival ties into her appearance, or lack thereof.” As for whether Original vamp Elijah will return this season, Plec coyly offers a “Maybe.”
